Balloon Care

Here is some information and tips to help you care for your balloons.

BALLOON FLOAT TIMES

The average float time is dependant on the environment, temperature and storage. Below is a guide only - we do not take any responsibility for float time variations.

28cm Balloon: 12-24 hours

40cm Balloon: 24-48 hours

60cm Balloon: 2-4 days

90cm Balloon: 3-5 days

Foil Balloons: 2 days to 2 weeks

HEAT, SUNLIGHT, & COLD

Helium expands in the heat and contracts in the cold. We recommend that you keep your balloons at a consistant room temperature.

Latex balloons are biodegradable so its normal that they oxidize (become cloudy) as they start to degrade. Heat, sun and humidity can accelerate this process.

Helium balloons can pop if they are exposed to heat & sun. Foil balloons can shrink if left in the cold or near air-conditioning. The good news is that they will puff back up once in a warm room

TRANSPORTING BALLOONS

If you are picking up a large balloon order, we will supply you with a bag so that your balloons don't fly around. We suggest taking the balloons out of the bag once you arrive home or to your venue. Leaving helium balloons in the bag may reduce the float time.

We suggest that you come with an empty car, the bigger the car the better. Do not put your balloons into a hot car, have your air-conditioning on.

USING BALLOONS OUTSIDE

Balloons are not designed for outdoor use. Having said that, they can be successfully used outdoors with a few things in mind. Heat and sunlight can cause balloons to pop. Balloons & wind do not mix. Make sure that all balloons are weighed and secured to prevent them from blowing away.
